Lauryl picked up a new activity this spring that has become a new favorite-Locker Soccer. It is a fun indoor soccer program that operates year round. They start with some circle time discussions to get the kids acclimated and then move into a quick game where they freeze on cue between bouts of running around kicking the ball to music. Then they do some stretching and learn the names and locations of their major muscles. Then they move onto some drills/games to address particular soccer skills and do some major running to wear the little monkeys out! Class ends with a fast paced game of sharks and minnows (a crowd favorite) and the awarding of stamps!
Ready to play soccer
Stretching
Dribbling the ball
Love the tongue- always hanging out
Running. running, running
Definitely an activity that we will keep on our schedule next fall, likely in conjunction with a first season of outdoor soccer since she'll be old enough!
