Swim Lessons

Lauryl started back up with swim lessons this session at the rec center.  We're still in Guppy (level 1), but I'm hopeful we'll advance this time.  Only two skills held her back last time and they were things she would do with me, but not for the instructors.  She seems happy in this level, and I'm happy if they want to go to swim lessons and don't fight it!

Soccer Season

Well, the weather still indicates winter but that can't change the fact the spring truly has arrived!  Luckily there was a short break in the weather for Lauryl's first soccer practice.  Lauryl is on the Blue's Clues team this year with our next door neighbor, and her buddy, Lauren.  We played her up a level so she could play actual games instead of scrimmaging and practicing with parents once a week.  We've done a few seasons of indoor soccer and we think she'll enjoy actual game play on the short fields.  Only time will tell if she'll be willing to get in the mix and be aggressive or if she runs the field smiling and waving like her older sibling;-)

We're excited for a fun 1st season!!
