Today Kendyl's teacher delivered an envelope filled with get well cards from her new kindergarten friends. It was exactly what Kendyl needed. This long absence has made her a little weary of returning. Her face lit up so bright and she was so happy as we went through them all. What a sweet gesture. Hopefully we can get back into the swing of things after a quick trip to the ped in the morning to get the all clear.
Even sweeter is the fact that the little boy down the street (also in her class) made a special trip to our house to deliver his own extra special card from he and his sister and say hi. He and Kendyl are sweet on each other, so the bashful conversation was adorable.
Let's hope this early illness holds us over for a little while!
